YINNOH works tirelessly to make sure that local marginalized youths and refugees get free access to the education and empowerment services that yinnoh provides. Besides a largely saturated job market, they face the added challenges of prejudice, residual trauma, language barriers, lack of relevant skills, and lack of meaningful education; all of which create firm barriers that prevent them from accessing their potential, and becoming accepted and productive members of society.

 

The reality for the majority of these disenfranchised individuals is one of hopelessness and disempowerment, which leads to destructive lives littered with early pregnancy, forced marriages, prostitution, crime, and drug abuse.

Why a sponsorship with us?

 

- We believe that a refugee is in the best position to solve a challenge faced by other refugees since they understand and have once shared the same situation and stories.

- We are passionate and committed to our project on a voluntary basis
- we promote cultural exchange between our youth and sponsor through physical and video messages, when you reach the YINNOH learning center in Uganda, you have the chance to interact with your sponsored youth and see how transformative is and supportive has been your sponsorship to your youth.

 

As Yinnoh envisions creating an Uganda where these youth thrives, are self-employed, and fully contribute to their communities creating social impacts, In order to meet our vision, We are looking for people, organizations who would like to sponsor a scholarship for a refugee or a local youth in Uganda.

 

The situation gets hard when these youth have no access to empowerment and activities that can keep them active in their respective camp. With 1,830$/€ a year you support Yinnoh to empower a youth. The amount covers the learning materials, learning costs, Electricity, Water, Customer discovery process, Product development, comfort zone challenge, and the Internet for scholars.
